Hole 13 - Copse
A very worthy stroke index 1! A long drive is required to go for this green in two. A drive down the right hand side will help open the path to the green but will also leave a longer second shot. The white diamond positioned directly behind the green indicates the line to a blind green some twelve feet below the level of the fairway. This second shot is fraught with danger and there is trouble lurking all around the green. Shots coming up slightly short tend to run down into the bowl on the right. Don’t be too upset to finish in there!
For many, this par 4 should be a three-shotter and played as a par 5. The layup area for the second shot is on the rise approaching the green. From here you can have a look at the target before wedging it safely on for three.
