I have not sent an email for a day or two so did not want you to feel neglected…..until all the subs are paid !!

Firstly, the sheets for the incoming Captains drive in are now on the boards, please enter your name if you wish to play in this shotgun event. A draw will be made nearer the time for playing partners and starting tee. Mr Duffy has already ordered the pre-drive in buffet and was on the practice ground today preparing for his important shot so we would like a HUGE crowd on the tee for him on Sunday 29th March at 1pm to appreciate his silky skills…or not as the case may be. The Lady Captain will of course take it all in her stride as she is an old hand at this.

Reddish Hand Carwash are situated on Reddish Road and they did a grand job on my car today. After a quick conversation with the owner I can confirm a discount is available for members of RVGC. Just mention you are a member of RVGC and that a discount was agreed and let me know how you get on. They also have a loyalty scheme – pay for 5 get 1 free.

Weather permitting, we will be working on the greens on Monday 23rd March 2015, in order to get them prepared for another fantastic year of golf at the Vale. Please bear this in mind if you intend playing golf that week.
The fairways will be getting similar treatment very soon thereafter.

After last year’s success with membership [ increase of 30 ] this year has continued at a pace. since 2nd Jan 2015 we have recruited no less than 15 new members. I had one today where his girlfriend paid for full membership for him !! she must really want him out of the house ?? – I have another 2 coming on Thursday evening to discuss membership. This is an indication of the quality of the course and the welcome visitors receive from the Pro & Abbi initially and then from the office, bar, caterer and members.
If things continue like this, dare I mention waiting lists ??

We continue to buck the trend and would encourage all members to share our good news with their golfing friends because not all local clubs are enjoying our success.

Lastly, the Mothers day dinner has taken off in an amazing way, between 1pm & 4pm we have no less than 110 diners booked in. They are nicely spread over the afternoon so our service will not be compromised.
We are able to fit another 2 or 3 groups in but that may not be the case over the next 48 hours. Therefore contact Gary or myself if you wish to book.
