Update

I am sure you have missed my emails whilst I have been enjoying the Mexican sunshine so here goes….

Firstly, I have been made aware that some members are concerned that the course should be closed during this very wet weather in order that damage is minimised.
The closure policy is that the course closes itself, if YOU feel it is too wet to play then simply wait for a dryer day. The Head Green keeper and Greens Chairman is fully supportive of this.

You will be aware that we will have a new Captain & Council at the end of March. I am aware of a couple of members that may be interested in serving on Council and therefore I just wanted to give some details of the expectations.

– Firstly, a proposer and seconder would be required [ any 2 members ].

– We hold Council meetings every month which are usually on a Monday at 6.30pm, we tend to deal with all the outstanding business by 9pm and the Captain buys all present a drink afterwards. Whilst we prefer regular attendance we understand that it is not always possible.

– We usually have a Chairman for House, Estates, Greens, Handicaps etc and hope and expect the individuals to take up the reins and try to improve their particular area of the club.

Should anyone be interested in applying to come onto Council or help in a less full on capacity, please let me know and I will be happy to have a chat with you.

Regards
